LCCS
Measurement of LC-cell and material characteristics
The LCCS-107 is combining the measurement of a range of basic LC-cell and material characteristics in a unique way. Knowledge of these characteristics is essential for the development of advanced LC-display products, for material and process qualification in LCD manufacturing and for detailed product optimization.
The LCCS is supporting high throughput and short measuring times. Jigs and fixtures are available for electrical contacting and for temperature control of the test-cells (standard formats or specially adapted to the customers' test-cell layout).
The temperature of the test-cells in the jigs and fixtures is controlled via heat conduction by a liquid circulated through the jig. For measurements below room temperature the measuring chamber can be purged with dry air in order to avoid condensation of humidity on the test-cell and the resulting negative effect on the transmission of the cell.
Measurement and evaluation of
- Residual DC (optical and electrical detection)
- Image sticking and retention (optical and electrical detection)
- Rotational viscosity, γ1 (for positive Δε)
- Current density
- Dielectric constants: ε⊥, 妦, Δε
- Capacitance and resistance
- Ion mobility
Special jigs and fixtures for temperature control of the test cells via heat conduction are optinally available.
